Houston, we have a problem.

Since taking the wires out of the power / gears limiting circuit, the bike is producing some nasty vibes at 4000 to 8000 rpm. Anyone know why?

Possible loose/nicked wire causing a bit of a misfire? Check the plug where you did the work & see...
