[/b]feldenak , Please allow me to say Welcome, spread out and lets see how we go? I will have to convert your mileage to get a grip, sometimes i have just a wee bit of trouble getting it? a grip that is?

It is a great thing to have a great deal of fun on one (1) SD, Is it of a black decent? May I ask?

joe
Hi there, and thanks for the warm welcome!

It is indeed a black SD, I believe being widely recognised as the fastest and sexiest colour.

To convert for you, I get about 60 miles out of my 11 litres before the fuel light comes on. This is riding through morning traffic, and I try not to hang about! On weekend rides I normally get about 130-150km to fuel light (thats 80-90 miles) and motorway/freeway riding has yielded my best which is 185km (approx 110 miles) before the light has lit up.

But all that is excusable when you only have a 15 litre tank and such a fun bike. If I want quiet and practical I would have bought a Honda!!
I get about 35mpg with a mix of city filtering and motorway 95mph cruising.

after my Akra Evo slip ons and Akra map where installed I dropped about 2mpg. It runs it richer!!

btw, it's an 06 model and the lights on at about 85 miles usually, 95 if I'm being boring.
TheChangingMan,

I am right on par with you on that topic, you know it's the same old schmeal isn't it? Wat ever the stinking mileage, (for purposes of proper engine tune only and of course the one and only, THE color of bright Orange ezhaust pipe,) It does not matter, like splitting hairs? The bike is too much fun, ( in mid-Life crisis,) to even worry about fookin mileage? WTF ?

But you all may know of me backdraft ? That is a topic that has yet to be hammered out by myself, one ( 1 ) joe, and the opposing forces that lye beneath the slippery surface that ye all are standing on ? Question these things my fine fellows ????

peace.......joe

You'll get more miles if you fill it right up!!!!!!!!

Seriously, it makes quite a difference, mine's a 06 bike, normally I'd fill the bike on the side and get mid to high 80's before the light comes on.

Went to Le-Mans earlier in the year, made a point of holding the bike upright and carefully kept putting the last few drops in after the air bubbles came up, making sure it was full to the brim, bike would then do 110miles at 80-100mph plus a further 23 with the light on.
