How many miles has yours done?

Interested to see some Superdukes out there with quite high mileages.
What's yours done and how's it holding up?
I started biking in the early 70's and cam chains would get noisy at under 10K miles and anything with much over this mileage would frighten off buyers.

Just about to turn 14000 miles, and honestly, she is running better now than she did with 7000 miles on the clock...

ive got 28k on mine. routine stuff, waterpump rebuild, etc. it hasnt left me stranded yet, almost though. still on its original battery too!

50 views on this thread so far and only 2 proud guys in the USA so pleased with their bikes to give a view!
Mine's only done 2000 miles since I bought it in March this year

2500 since I got it in April

I've got 21,000 on mine, only replaced tyres and battery. Have done several 700mi. days on it.Still lovin it.

2005 with 18k mile, to my shame i have it two years and have only put 8k miles on it myself... with the exception of a new battery and a fault tilt switch, no trouble with it...seems sometimes like i spend more time polishing then riding it

I had over 14K on my first SD before I totaled it. Never any problems. New SDR has 4500 and has gone through 2 batteries already. Just installed new battery and tender today. Checked charging system and it seems to be working fine so something might be draining the battery.

2007 owned from new and now just nudging 20k - apart from routine servicing only the water pump has needed replacing (at13k), despite being thieved and used in a jewelery robbery in Kensington...

Just done 30k (km) service, valves were sweet and have had no issues with it yet (also touch wood).
Think Klinks has 50k+ miles and still makes 129hp.

JohnJJr not confusing 100k mile SD's with Adventures, apparently quite a few high mileage ones out there. Same LC4 engine so either way it looks good for us.
As for oil more frequent changes the better, does not matter how good the oil is once it is full of shit it will damage your engine. How many guys here have their oil plug magnet covered in crap. Mine is only starting to slow down. Freaks me out.

I see the term 56 plate quite often. What does this mean?

so a bike registered in 2006 will always have a six as its fourth digit and the number preceeding this six is a designation of whether or not it was Jan. to June, or July to Dec.?
Are bikes that were registered last month 51 plates?
What is the significance of telling people when in the year a bike was registered?
Does this lead to the possibilty that someone has owned thier motorcycle one month longer than someone else.

Sort of like a kikistocracy?

I've no idea how many miles mine has done.
It was the original KTM press bike when the SD was launched then used as the prototype for the SD battle and the 'guest' bike for the first season.
Since then its done at least 40 trackdays mostly shared with someone else so its done the equivalent of 80 trackdays.
The top end was rebuilt Christmas 2009 but didn't need it.
Currently making 125bhp or thereabouts and on track on Thursday this week, the crashfest, Rockingham and Silverstone (again) during the next month.

Iv'e got 9700 odd miles, and I'm due for a water pump driveshaft & seal job. Boooo!!!!

Mine's an 07 - call it 4 years old. It had done 2500 miles in two and a half years when I bought it, a year and a half later it has 16500 miles on it. I only use it for twatting around and it has done 10 or so track days, been regularly serviced and apart from a shagged battery, has used nothing except consumables. I am, however, after writing this, expecting for it to all go tits up!

Put 25k miles on mine before selling it today. Only thing that went wrong (not counting the seizing brakes in salty conditions), was the clutch slave cylinder, which was fixed under warranty. Otherwise consumables only.
