#8no point using higher octane than the bike is tuned to run on, i've seen that issue debated so many times in forums. I ran 99 RON in my old bike for a month to experiment and it made no difference I could find.
FWIW, i had a really old Mini many years ago, and I managed to get a view into the tank, I could see the bottom of the tank, it was spotless, there was NO crap in there at all. This lead me to conclude that there is no crap in petrol and it's all a myth that you need injector cleaners, petrol cleaning additives etc. I think that feeling people get when they're running on the last bits of petrol is entirely imagined! At best its a bit of air getting sucked up with the last few bits of petrol sloshing around but I doubt it. It's probably more to do with the vehicle being lighter and therefore feeling not as smooth accelerating etc.
