how often do you see other SDs?

And post your location if it isnt in your profile... Im curious to know the distribution and general market appeal of Superdukes around the world.

I've seen maybe 1 or 2 on the road over the last 2 years. I've also heard that only 50 SDRs made it to North America and I'd estimate then only about 5-10 to Canada. Not sure about regular Superdukes but judging by what I've seen on the road, I don't see how more than maybe 50-100 are in the country???

I know there's a guy in here with 2-3 Superdukes, and he lives about 30km away from me.. But I've never seen him on the road
I think there's less than 10 superdukes in Denmark, and I've never seen any on the road!

I saw one when I was in USA this year.. Was driving with some friends north of San Francisco and saw one coming towards us on the windy roads.. I was the only one that became extatic

I've seen at least four SDs in the Monteregie/Townships area of Quebec. I know for a fact there is at least one SDR within a few miles from me. Picottes, Excel before them, and Rocks have been selling KTM around here for a long time, you see KTM stickers on cars here so I would say that there is a loyal clientele. There are probably way more in Montreal.

40k miles/three years to and from London every weekday and have only seen two SDs and no other SDRs on the road by chance.

Lusted over the bike for over 3 years... only ever saw one during that time and that was at a bike show.

Bought the bike in March of this year, I've seen 2 SD's and 1 SDR since.

Only ever seen one on the road in my ownership, but seen two SD in a local bike shop at the same time (think one is still there well after a year) and a SDR in a shop in Inverness (about 40 mile from me).

My old man chased one when on an unmarked plod bike just after they came out. Followed it into a petrol station, had a look at it when the guy was paying, asked him a few questions about it and then said to him "oh yeah, slow down a bit as we were hitting 120 at some points" then did one. The guy must have been shitting himself as he came out to see a copper looking at his bike, then just get asked all about it

I've seen only 2 SD's in my area, and 1 SM. And that's rarely.

Two others in my neck of the Pacific Northwest woods. A bud saw mine in May and had to have one after a chat how much I liked mine. Still one in a KTM shop for sale..Used 07?...can check on price if needed.

I've seen only one other on the road here - and I don't think the guy lives far from me, based on where I've seen the bike (pretty much the same area - more than once). A couple months ago, I trailed him up the road a little way once - either a newb or a really shit rider - came up along side with plenty of berth, and the guy freaked out nearly crashed into a parked car when I waved 'hi". He was clearly inattentive, and on approach didn't hold a line well. I thought it best to just roll on past.

Its odd, I never see any SDs at the common ride area stopping points, where there can be literally dozens of sport bikes. At least plenty of people to connect with on Dukes, SMCs, and SMR/SMTs, and what have you.

Well I know where I live In AZ. I am the only one that has a SD and an RC8. At the trackday at chucky we had 5-6 I think 5 of them were with us, we had a duke pit it was cool to see them lined up.I have been talking to some guys from my old home town of Simi so I know of 2-3 more going out there this month. Have to drop off the RC8 to have some work done.Going to try to get these new guys to go for a blast to the rock store.should be cool to show up with a bunch of dukes.

I've seen one SD on the road. Two SD's and one SDR at the track. A chick was riding one of the SD's at the track. I actually get pissed if I see another SD.

Seen around 10 in 6 years, all around North Yorkshire and no not the same one 10 times

one kept going past me last week as i was working in putney/london , but by the time i could get to the road all i ever saw was the back of him/bike.

I ride all over the Midlands (uk) but haven't seen another one yet. Maybe I will see one at the toy run in stoke on the 11th, who knows.

I see more SD's in the classifieds then the streets

The good thing I can go everywhere I be sure not to grab the wrong bike ( unlike the black gsxr crowd LOL )

I don't see them often, but they are not rare here in Southern California. I'm in Ventura County and see a few every now and then.

At a guess I'd say there are no more than 10 in Jersey. Doesn't sound like much but it's a 45 square mile island so that's 1 in every 4.5 miles . I have 2 SDs and I know 2 other owners. One guy has the only SDR in Jersey and it's the slower 07 model imported from UK (also a member on here). I've only ever seen one other 05/06 model aside from mine and I know of one being kept in a garage because the guy doesn't like it. Never seen another white one.

I've seen one other one in Oakland, CA area. It was white with frame sliders and akra exhaust if I remember correctly. None in the Sacramento area besides mine. I've never seen a 690 Duke on the road in California. Street fighters of any kind are the norm in north Italy/Slovenia/Croatia area, but Dukes are still rare. I like it for that reason. You don't have parts supply issue because KTM is everywhere, but the bike is so rare on the road is seems like an exotic custom.

In the Reno area I've seen a black one on the road but no others. The Reno dealer had one white, one black and one orange standard and 2 SDRs when I bought my R. I'm not sure if the three standard SDs stayed in the area. The other R was sent to an eastern state, and I'm not sure how many the Carson dealer sold. Its nice having a motorcycle you don't see every day.

Theres another Black one in town here but it sat at the local dealership for 3 years before he bought it... So still rare here. I have white and black plastics so Im sure if anyone knows what an SD is they will think theres 2 different ones. I was blown away when I saw it coming at me, I was thinkg, "no it cant be wait is it, no its, holy shit its a SD"... Then I took a U turn and followed him on the SV650, I dont think he believed me when I pulled up and said " nice bike, I have one too"...

i've seen perhaps 4 different SD's and riders over the past 2 years in SF, CA. I was away in Tahiti and saw 3 on that tiny island!

One of my employees has one, so we ride quite often.

Anybody have any numbers on how many SD's were made for the different years

Seems to be a rarity in a lot of places but here in London and the South East there are a lot of SDs. I reckon I see at least two a week commuting through London, on Sunday ride outs I will see a couple more. I just moved to Haywards Heath two weeks ago and have seen at least three SDs riding through the high street.

And in the Summer when we go out on a forum run there can be six SDs all riding together which is an awesome sound going through little villages and passing cages on fast A roads.

When I was in New Zealand there where a few SD's arround Dunedin for a small town, a couple of them SDR's.
Here in Townsville I haven't seen another one, so I tought I got the only one untill there was one for sale in the newspaper a few weeks ago.
Still haven't seen one arround....any info welcome? Anyone?

I rode it again today on my ZRX. saw an SD and SDR coming down on our way up.

the weather is so nice I rode ACH/forrest and hwy 33 six days in the last week.
