Agree, every time I take her out (well almost everytime)
Where do you guys ride that you go 100+ regularly? The only place I get up over 100 for more than a moment is the interstate, and to me that is a boring place to ride.

I need more blockage, joe is too old for the wind over that speed + I see little skill involved in going fast in a straight line?

I have no desire to do it cos of the stiff penalties when caught![/quote]I've been quoted in print saying "any wanker can go fast in a straight line" ! it's pretty sevre here for getting busted going over 140kph down here !!! not some where I want to go !

cjc, I do not want to come off wrong here, Rob is so smooth, but I am not... sorry bout that, here is the truth in my mind.

I personally know many very talented riders. Those that are exceptional, may be that way on the street and not do all that great on the track, &V.V.

that is not what this is all about, as you well know, the pleasure is in the curve, the art of execution,,,in this particular curve, the excitement is in the lean,

the rush is in the G-force that we all feel from it, a great rider can get himself out of a mess, from nearly all circumstances, going fast is not what we enjoy...

it is the art of corner execution that draws us, this is me... it is what I go after when I go, I submerge myself in the moment of pleasure, in the curve.
I am guilty of ,give her a boot in the ribs on every other straight ,most times hit around 80 to 90 mph nothing like I was on the cbr 900, were the same burst was 140mph ish
In our area one would be pure stupid to ride around balls to the mat using all the tyre on yer bike ,the reality is a safety margin has to be considered ,I ride dirt bike ,boots ,gloves,mx pants a chest protector and a flimsy jersey, we hit 80mph ish lots trail riding ,For me its to ride and enjoy it to be comfortable and have fun ,if I intended to test limits of myself and bike yes I would leather up and put on my joe rocket boots and heavy armor gloves ,put the ambulance on speed dial for my buddies .(let the pissin match begin)
