#5I just ordered the FMF's yesterday, unfortunately they are on back order for a couple weeks, but the idea of the loudness is music to my ears. Plus some of my neighbors are jerks so if I wake them on a Sunday morning then good.

#20Have a chat with the guys at big city thunder. They make a cone shaped baffle that fits in the header pipe where the muffler slips on. I had the same issue as you with my 950 SM when I fitted stubby arrow cans.
Their QQ thunders make the exhaust note a little deeper as well as quiter.

#25well i met a guy on another Superduke today and he had a brand new bike
with FMFs on it. after reading this thread i was expecting it to be ear splittingly loud. i dont think it was any louder than my bike to be honest. it didnt appear to have baffles in it unless they were mid pipe. it sounded thinner too, more metallic.
later in the day we went to a park and were hanging out and i heard a bike in the distance, thought it was a Ducati or an SV, i did the classic turn a stare till the bike came into view (Dana knows the look well, i just go motionless and she can be talking but im involuntarily fixed, listening, trance like...) the bike comes into view and its the same SD!
