So we all know the KTM does well in the German series of bike racing. So how do you think they would do in the big boy series of World Superbike? Filmore did do a decent first outing in the AMA series and placed in top ten, but WSB is a different beast. Why doesn't KTM have a team out there? BMW is put there, and Aprilia is obviously able to win. So why not have a go at it? Is it sponsorship? I'd like to see them out there!!
I have a feeling it's a money issue. KTM doesn't have as deep a pockets as a lot of other manufactures.

they aint fast enough maybe , even in 1000cc SS you occasionally see one pottering round at the back unfortunately
Budget!!!

KTM simply cant compete in real money terms!

If BMW cant crack podiums with there budget what hope do KTM have? They pulled out of 125GPs because of funding and they were very succesful in that in both results and major sponsors!

For japanese teams race results equals sales of thier superbikes, this wont translate to KTMs RC8 though, its a Marmite kinda bike!

Ducati have only pulled out as their 1198 has come to the end of its tunable life and they are now puting thier budget into R&D of a new Superbike contender! (and im guessing Yamaha Europe are doing the same!?)
