I am thinking of removing my s.a.s system and fitting the blanking plates and fitting the 02 sensors my only concern is will i have to reset/flash/download a new map on my ecu after these mods?. I just want to smooth the throttle and not really interested in power gains (no i am not gay), sorry if its been asked a million times but just want a definate answer.
Cheers Gary.

If you are not using a sas resistor, you will have to switch of the sas using tuneecu. If you don't, your fi light will start blinking. Same for o2 sensors.

I will get the sas kit from motohooligan with the resistor, if you use the o2 eliminators will you get an fi fault. i am running titanium akras with the akra map?

.......plus no new map required but recommend a 15 min reset.

i fitted sas blanking plates and a resistor , no problems . fitted the O2 elininators with the same result , no tune ecu thingy and FI warning light . go figure i'm not sure why you have to mess with the ecu when fitting O2 elininators i didn't

So i ask for a definate answer and get completly conflicting opinions , will just have to try it and see. On the subject anyone got a tuneecu cable they want to sell? or anyone live near me who has plenty of knowledge and a cable who will do it for me?

Incidentally, I have just received a fresh new batch of SAS plates. I'm based in London, so will probably work out cheaper than buying from the states. Just gets resistor from Maplins for pennies.

on order is the motohooligans airbox.

question: the large can shaped item under the seat (in the area the tools go), does this get removed as part of the SAS removal?
