His name is Ted and we've met a few times over the past year, had a couple of cups of coffee together. (sounds like the beginning of a gay story doesn't it) Our Wives have been present at these chance meetings. Phew!
So, Ted's a nice enough bloke in his mid 50's I'd guess and has just purchased the new 690 motard. Nice bike.
Ted seems to like KTM's.
I've met him on the road a few times. Once he was riding a motarded 950 super enduro, once a duke2, once a Super duke and once on a Super enduro with standard wheels. Not the same bike. He liked it so bought 2.
Ted was at a track day I attended at morgan park last year riding a KTM 450, which is perfect for that track. He also has a couple of KTM 250's he likes to flog around the bush.
A couple of weeks back we met at the Outpost cafe (Wives included) and a
blue Dakar Adventure went past. I asked Ted with a smile on my face if he had one of those as well.
His answer was quite matter of factly. "Yes. I have 2" but did say he leaves one in Western Australia for when he's over that way.
They're the bikes I know he has. There maybe more. Who knows?
Be nice wouldn't it.
