Sold my SD a year ago. Went to Alaska on my 990 ADV, came home bought a TLR100. Hated it. Sold it and bought a Aprilia RSV. Hated it. Sold it. I've just secured a 2008 SD with 2,700 miles. I'm bringing it home on Monday.... I'm gonna love it!!!!!

And it's the faster black model!!

Question: The PO said the bike was bone stock. It's got stock cans. One thing is missing... the snatch. The bike has no snatch at all at low RPM. I can ride down main street in my town at 25 MPH and she's smooth. WTF?

At 25 MPH my old SD would buck like a Bronco in heat. Cans and a remap fixed it.

Not that I'm complaining, but I was just wondering. Could it be because it's black?

Maybe it is because it is black. I bought my black one after riding a buddy's white one which had the snatch and twitchy throttle to boot, but I knew I loved it. Mine had 2k on the clock and has almost no snatch and no twitch and its black. My buddy has since put on PWC and pipes and has also gotten rid of the problem, but to my knowledge mine is bone stock and never had it.

I checked with the dealer and he said the BLACK ones are far better all around machines! Finally got it right!
