Done a weeksy and bought another superduke.

08 in orange, few mods just sorting a few bits to it.

Been away from the forum for a bit, been racing, crashed lots and had a lot of misfortune, decided to stop throwing money away and just enjoy riding for a bit.

But may end up racing the superduke. Who knows

Got a few mods coming up so may get the forum in gear again!

Crashfest?
You would!
uh oh, no more Toohomo?

Welcome back! I've missed the Brit banter.

I thought putting Monster stickers on your bike was an American thing. Good to see there are uhhh... those types everywhere.
The monster stickers/renthal bars and orange grips were first to go! Had the original bars but opted for some Rizoma ma010's I had lying about.

What's with all this 1290 talk anyway? My 990 superduke has more suspension adjustment

The 3 year old metzeler road tyres on it are proper junk, they need to go....

Steering damper is being sorted shortly getting a little shake at high speed so need one.

It's like riding an armchair after what I have been riding.
Welcome back Dan, by the looks you have had a trying few years racing, entertaining though.
Place is somewhat subdued since you left. Must all the 1290 riders..........

Alright Danny-Boy

Good choice of bike mush - Shame you couldn't afford the 1290

Welcome back to the fold mate. There is so much 1290 stuff on here I've lost a bit of interest lately. 990's still do it for me.
4 days at Portimao last week reaffirmed my love for my SDR.
Flat out on wets was a real buzz. Hope you can join us on the next trip. Spain in the autumn we think.

It's an old boys get together!
Must admit this sunshine has me missing mine. Still a couple of years before I can do another rider awareness course though and I can't trust myself on the roads not to gun it.
Welcome back comrades.

Er Pete there's not much been happening in the Naked's topic...
EDIT: Oops too late !!

Wow. This thread's avatars read like old times from 5 or 6 years ago.

Welcome back Dan, looking forwards to hearing about your crashes. I have quite a lot of bits and spares so if you need anything let me know - I'm trying to get rid of a lot because I'm might be moving to a place with less storage.

I didnt change any of the panels myself, but i believe it had the 07+ tank and shrouds and yes i got crispy to do the designs for it. good quality and extremely thick, just a bit unresponsive and took his time thats all. But it got there in the end.

I will for sure miss that bike

i am back !
The return of the old guard eh!? Just need to get myself another superdook now...

So I'm finally back in the fold Picking up my new black 2017 1290 tomorrow Managed to get the Track Pack and Performance Pack thrown in and a few hundred quid to spend on some other extras. Can't bloody wait to get it run in and play with the full power of the beast! Haven't been riding on the roads for 3 years so that might be fun. Lots of questions to follow I'm sure and no I don't know where the search button is

Treated myself to a new lid to go with the new bike. Loving it!

Welcome back!

Now get Ducati Pete and Stupid Luke back in here to inject some fooking life into this forum.

That Icon lid is gorgeous.

I've had my eye on this one, I've always had solid colors (black) so it seems a bit weird to me.

Time for a Bike Shed meet up then.
Congratulations!

Did you get the slower black framed SDR or the faster orange frame?

Bic is still the forum's Master rim tape installer. He'll be happy to help.

PS: No. 47, You are next. 2017's are calling you.
Aye, still not convinced 2017 is way to go with all the Euro 4 crap so looking for 'new' orange framed earlier version - both 990 SDRs are here for keeps, though.

Glad to see you back
Hope you like your new wheels
Congrats and waiting for the pics
Congrats mate, and you even remembered your password for once!
I'm a bit pissed off as I had to pay for the performance pack which ain't cheap. If I was a 17 year old girl I probably would have chosen the orange, but obviously went for black
Glad you pulled trigger.

Still debating 1290 or 1100 Tuono for next year.
Congrats mate, enjoy it

Welcome back Colonel!
Congrats Klincky...been thinking about a change from my S1KR as well. Not sure what the future holds but wouldn't be surprised if a black 2017 1290 mysteriously appeared in my garage.

Cheers
Well work dragged on so fooking long today that I didn't get to pick the bike up with the van until 17.00 By the time I fought my way back on the M25 it was 18.15 and so I got to do 1.5 miles to Tescos and back QS and blipper work a treat and the rev counter goes all red at 6.5k so impossible to miss the run in redline. Finally after 2 weeks of unseasonably warm weather it now returns to normal temps the day I pick up the bike. Sod's fooking law! Oh well Easter weekend to get some of the 600 miles done and 2 days at Snetterton on Monday and Tuesday to see how it handles on track. Hopefully I won't lob it and feel like a right tit!
I had a saunter on the road last year, just feels slow after track days.

1290 does look good especially in track trim I could be swayed.
Welcome black comrade Yes the pun was intended.
Welcome back mate. I spent a few years away too, I'm very happy to back on a manic Superduke.

Good to see you back Klinky, you appeared to have dragged a few of the old dudes out of the woodwork. Lurkers.
Hows the 2017 now its all run in?
Purchased from where?
KTM Centre in Hemel Hempstead.

So had first service today, track pack turned on and I have to say I'm loving the throttle response of the track setting I'm on track on Monday and Tuesday at Cadwell, will post up when I get back.
So with all of the mods and the new bike I gotta ask.......which bank did you rob???
fook it, why not. If the girly haired hippy managed to remember his password, there's no reason why a slim, handsome beast like me couldn't return to say hello to you bunch of cunts.

Still waiting to get exhaust work done and then on the dyno. Thats the last thing I'll be doing for a while. Don't think I'm going to bother with an aftermarket airbox. Just not sure it is worth the £ per HP when the bike is hardly short of grunt already.
Mods so far.
K&N air filter (not fitted yet)
Gilles rearsets
Gripster Snakeskin
R&G engine cases and tank cover
Powerparts seat and pillion seat cover
Evotech tail tidy
LSL straight bars
