#11I love the instant or as some call it snatchy power delivery its what sold the bike to me it made my Fireplace feel like a big sloppy slug .Being brought up on a diet of nasty 2 stroke crossers and trials bikes CR500 Tyr etc..( infact i would have given my left bollock for the power kick of the superduke in a trials bike for gettin up a big step ) I never found a road bike with bite to satisfy . But i have now . In town i just ride it on the clutch like a trials bike .

#19The throttle for me makes it a perfect race bike. WFO or off. I could use a bit more finesse for the corners though...

#24Chris, why do they make you tape up the lights? The headlight is lexan, the brake and signal are gonna break into little pieces if you crash, tape or not. Pulling the fuses will kill all the lights. I know the book says that pulling the #2 (if I remember right) fuse will the Multi-function display but it doesn't.

#25v twins are generally pigs in traffic! I've had aprilia, buell, ducati twins and ironically the superduke is by far the easiest in traffic, even with the inherent v twin snatch.
All these posts agree, persevere with it and use it as a learning tool to add to your riding repotoir. Go slower to go faster, learn the feel of the bike and the SD will reward you by the bucketful!
Think of it as a "Taming the beast" challenge.

I think that you could get the front right with the stock set up but you sure would be backing those adjusters down. As far as the shock, I doubt you could get it that dialed in.
Nope, just checked Racetech's site and they think you can be perfect with the stock set up, provided your bike is stock weight.
GoGo's set up had many facets that needed working out. Not just the spring rate of the forks. The biggest problem was geometry. The Nichols triple fixed that. I wish I had a video that would show the level of "stoke" this guys had last race weekend when he came off the track and knew the bike was perfectly set up. His only complaint was the tyre going off.

None of us have crashed this year and all of us have gotten faster!
When I hear people bitch about quirks of the SD I might fall into the same line but I have the benefit of being able to watch my team mate take the same bike around the track a full 10 seconds faster than me! Huge wake up call that the bike will do it...it is me that needs to adapt to the bike.
Sure wish all of you could see how he tosses that bike around and the level of competition he rides against. It is nothing short of amazing!
