I sold it
probably just as well, as it is definitely a tall thing! but i did get to ride it just to road test it before it went and it goes really well, speedys at sumner park here in brissie did a top job setting up the power commander and i had to scuff in the new tyre and brake rotors. i will admit it was very very nice, and a seriously quick bit of gear, glad it has a damper!
MATT is the new owner, hopefully he will join and say hello, but for me it's bye for now, i would like to say i've really enjoyed the forum, and i've made sure to post up as much as i can to help others as the vast majority of members have been super helpful to me where they could and for that i say a sincere thank you.
Seeing as i'm leaving i don't think it's too presumptuous of me to suggest my build thread be linked to the "must see" list, as there's lots of good stuff from lots of members in there and i will make sure i leave all the links in place so the pics survive.
All the best everybody, ride safe and remember who will miss you when the "red mist" descends and you're tempted to get a bit carried away!

Paul

Not nice!!
Steal our ideas, use them for own benefit and then drop us like poo...
Last week promised me you keep it??

Hope you hang around and we meet up on your next visit to Townsville.
BTW I know of an SD that needs a rebuild...
It was such a nice bike! Shame it's to tall for you

Too bad for the sale and you leaving.

Come back from time to time, i'm sure you'll miss the goofing around and great bikes ehehe
Your winter is my summer. You ever get to Oregon I can set you up with one of my bikes and can show you around my neck of the woods. A bud has connections with a New Zealand group that trade vacations spots. They have connections of some sort to Burt Munro and some of Burts hardware, piston ? is still in the area I believe, unless they took it home. Stay safe, ride fast and take chances Paul. Cheers!
Shame you couldn't get some more mileage on it, awesome bike. All the best with your new machine, whatever it may be.
Geez Paul...
I'm bummed dude...
Ya know...You made a difference to many here...
Get another SD and lower the fookin thing eh.???
My Nichols rear shock adjuster was set short when I got it and could
plant both feel flat on the ground..!!! No excuse bro..!!!
Damn...What are you gonna ride now???
I think you need a moderators position so we can haunt you in your sleep..!!!!
Peace brother...I sure hope you at least hang around and give some
your two cents worth..
Cheers
