I thought I had a bad battery

I have an '08 that seemed to need a battery. A couple of times over the summer, the bike would not have enough juice to start. A short charge on the battery tender would get things going. I replaced the stock battery with a fully charged ballistic lithium battery last Thursday, rode home @ 35 miles, and parked the bike. Today, the bike failed to start. No Idiot lights or any other indicators. What am I missing?
Thanks for the help.
What? I thought this thread was going to be chock full of insight.

Reads to me as if something ain't right with your charging system somewhere.

I'm sure you'll get 50 posts (at least) about how its either the BGC and/or the regulator/rectifier. Maybe ... not knowing much more about the bike, its accessories, etc. I couldn't say (short/load or not) ... Are you able to measure the current draw (Amperes) from the battery when the bike is off (leave the big red switch in the ON state)?
Maybe you got two.
BGC

I am now geting codes Soft 32 and Dat 101, that seem to indicate a faulty voltage regulator.
