It has been cold here in Michigan and I had finally had enough. I had to start a SD project. I went to the garage, looked through a box of bike parts and came across a Triumph 675 Tail light that I had replaced with an integrated one. I have always hated the SD light, it is big, ugly, and not that visible.
First I removed the Akra's and rear plastic, then got the hacksaw out and cut the plastic where the light mounts, then fabricated a piece of aluminium to cover the hole(soon to be replaced with black plastic, mounted the taillight to the subframe, then cut 4 inches off each muffler, riveted it back together and wallah!
I still need to clean the pipes up, and cut my plastic to replace the aluminium, so about 3 more hours of work. But I love the outcome so far!
