Used the bike for work today (08 SDR) and noticed the ignition barrell is loose had a quick look when i got to work and it looks like one of the two bolts securing it to the frame is missing.

I thought these were anti tamper bolts ? anyhow im confident its not been messed with and just fallen off just wonder if anyone else has heard of this

I suppose its a strait forward job of replaceing and securing again

Cheers Dan
Yeah it is a fairly standard bolt albeit dont have the size. They are anti tamper unless someone has removed them, dont see how they could come out they are quite long?

Well you see i seem to remember reading about people trying to get these stubborn bolts out before thats what made it a bit more of a mystery.

Take a look at this pic my new anti tamper bolts turned up today so ive put them side by side the one that got jammed in the forks and nearly caused an accident is on the left

It appears that it is the wrong bolts that i had securing the ignition barrel (they seem too long which must have vibrated out over time) seems a bit strange for a bike thats not even a year & a half old

Its going back to Ktm Friday as the bikes still under warrenty and they have agreed to sort it still seems weird anyone else had this problem ?

Cheers Dan
