Intake Stack Options?

So, slowly but surely I've been installing new bits n pieces on my SD. Anyways, are the RC8 stacks the only option for replacing the stock stacks? I've seen a few threads here and other sites with custom stacks which were supposedly going to be sold, but I never found a seller's site.

Also, I read that pretty much for the RC8 stacks to work on the standard SD, the secondary butterflies need to be removed completely. Anyone try the RC8 stacks with the Motohooligan butterflies on a standard SD? Will it still bog out a bit at the low end?

Thanks.

The custom stacks were being developed by our very own MrZ32. Pretty sure they are on the back burner now though due to being not cost effective.

As for the RC8 stacks, its been found that you gain a little at the top end, but lose a chunk in the mid-range. I personally have the RC8 stacks fitted atm but am thinking of swapping back over once I actually get back on the damned bike (not ridden for over 1.5 years).

I have Motohooligan secondaries fitted and tried the RC8 stacks but never got a dyno run or a map change to see what the difference was. To be honest I couldn't really feel any benefit or improvement, I suspect any change was all in my imagination. Ran it for a while like that but then changed back to the OE stacks just so I could be sure the map was perfect for the whole set up.

On the SMR's & SMT's we run one long & one short stack with custom mapping to suite.

Are you mapping the cylinders individually Kev?

Would using a PCV and the Dual Channel Autotune work well enough with the RC8 and SD stack?

That is what I used most of the time to build my maps & used the Dyno to check the A/F ratio & power output for the different mods.

We worked out a procedure to sort the low end RPM mapping out.
