Ok, so i thought id take my brand new pride and joy out for a bit of a run this morning even if it is freezing out.
I had only done 74 miles total(16 this time out) when.....you guessed it down we go. No more than 5mph at a junction, little lowside onto the left.Whoops
So does anyone have any spare parts available?
left side fairing in white
gear lever/peg
headlight
rightside headlight cowl(the black bit)
So all in all not too bad i guess
the race cans may have to wait a bit.
but at least i wont be so worried about taking her on track now though
you gotta laugh eh?
Sorry to hear it. I'm glad you are OK and the bike is relatively OK. Now you don't have to worry as much about it being pristine!
Uggh....what a nightmare. Glad to hear you are still in good spirits. Luckily the parts you described to be rashed aren't all that expensive.
sorry 2 hear that i was tempted to take mine out 2day, would crash bungs of saved it??
thanks guys.not sure if crash bungs wouldve helped to be honest. So much so that i probably wont bother fitting any in the future.
i guess we will be on a track day soon as shes fixed

ok so i was riding with a friend. stopped at a large roundabout. My friend moved off, i followed, looked right to check no oncomming traffic. Looked back and my friend had stopped. I braked to avoid him and lost the front.
It was dry, but temperature was around freezing.

I can only put it down to brand new tyres, not yet scrubbed in. Diablo 3s.cold weather, and hamfisted riding

I have to be honest and say the bike is different to anything ive had before.
i have mostly done track days the last four years so i think i can ride a little. im just not used to the softer suspension, which i adjusted as per the book for sportier riding.

loving the engine though. And we will become friends..
And i will be fitting body protection at some point
thanks for the comments.

I have posted a list of bits i need on the wanted pages
Are they Corsa III's? They no likey the cold!!

On the plus side, at least you've got some spare panels to rash up on the track if you buy some new ones! Could have been worse....

I had a similar experience, first day I commuted on mine, 2 days after I bought it, pulled out of my car park....didnt rev it enough (was too used to my old lo revving Buell), let out the clutch, stalled, dropped....dent in the corner of the rad, tiny scuffs to LHS fairing edge, R&G's got a wee scrape....they didnt save the rad cos it was the kerb stone that hit it, otherwise it wold only have been the R&G's that copped it!

C'est la vie
