Isle of Man TT 2011

Hello guys,

This year i am going to TT, could you please give me some informations? Where to go,where NOT to go, what i MUST attend, where to stay(which camping) and anything that i must do or not during the week i will spend there (7-14 June). Nevertheless has anyone ever took the boat from Hull to Rotterdam? As this year's moto trip is totally dedicated to Isle of Man we investigate the possibilities to make as less km in the highways as we can (but there will be still a lot).Any other possible advices how to avoid km from Greece to Isle of Man and back are welcomed.

My only advice - start planning for 2012 as you will be VERY lucky to get a ferry/accomodation this late into 2011

Man i have already book the tickets for the Isle of Man so definitely i am going there even if i have to sleep in the fields with my sleeping bag (hugging my moto though).There are still places for camping but we do not have an idea which one is the best (in terms of the good looking positions for the races and the pubs)

Use google maps to search for a campsite - having said that, at the TT there will be farmers opening up fields with porta cabin toilets just for the event. Don't expect much as the good sites will have been fully booked. Most of the night life is centred in Douglas, but find time to look round the quieter parts of the island as well. Use this trip as a sighting lap and book up what you like the look of for next year - you will return.

I've been going the last few years and am going again this year but only for practice week this time. It's a fantastic experience. Be warned you'll get the bug and have to come over every year. There are plenty of campsites, we normally rent a house or go BB. I think there is still ferry space av. I believe some of people book accomodation and ferry tickets months in advance and then find due to commitments they're unable to manage.
