Well done, top marks for decisive browsing.

I have bought a few bikes now whilst neglecting to mention it to my missus.

First I p/exed my R1 for a RSV factory. The RSV was being delivered from the dealers in Manchester. I spent the entire evening being overly nice to her and trying to broach the subject. Eventually at about 10pm she agreed, in principle, that I could upgrade my bike. Next day 10am the RSV arrived. 'when did you buy that?' she asked. 'When you told me I could' I replied.

Anyway all was fine for about a month when I saw a cosmetic damaged CBR600 that would be ideal for a track bike. I knew this wouldnt be as easy so I bought it anyway and hid it in another garage I have. All was fine for a few months until she was going through the lorry V5's and found we now had a 1999 lorry.....er Honda......

Quiet night in, few beers, e bay. That GSXR750K3 looks cheap. Must have bid, dont remember. Went to bed. Next day at work I get a phonecall, 'you've bought another bloody bike!'

That winter I sold the RSV and put the CBR600 on the road. Because who needs a 1000cc these days? I enjoyed thrashing around on it until my friendly Honda dealer lent me a fireblade for the afternoon. Almost got away with this one. Both Honda's, both CBR's she'll never know.

To make sure I called my insurance from work to change the details. Unbeknown to me, the insurance brokers computer crashed a few minutes later. So he phoned - MY HOME, to get the new reg number again. I think that was the one she threw a plate at me for

So when the Superduke came home she was almost used to it. 'What is that orange thing in the garage?' she asked. 'New flymo dear, thought the grass looked a bit long'

It has been a bit quieter this year but I really fancy a SDR and a 1098s. The prices will come down this winter. I really dont mind living in the garage and it's not like John Wayne Bobbit bled to death or anything.
