Hey guys been riding my duke fast and hard for the last couple of weeks.My bro's have cbr1000rr so we have been doing some high speed runs.
I been trying to get ready for Chuckwalla in Nov.
Here is the problem.I rode my bike to work today.The weather is changing today was the first time I rode it in cool temps My hands were cold on the way home.A first for this bike it is used to hot temps.So on the way home(2am) while I was riding about 35mph the bike just died .I pulled over my dash had an oil lite on and thats all everything was else out.I pulled in the clutch and pushed the starter it started again then died again.Had an error code for a second and then went out.I then took out the key put it back in and put the bike in neutral pushed the start button .It started up and seemed to run ok I rode it home with no other problems.The bike was warmed up and the oil level was normal when it did this.The bike has about 1500 miles had the first service done with valve check at 700 miles.I have never had any problems before.It was like someone turned the bike off.
I wish I had a KTM dealer close but the one that is close I have had problems and don't really trust them to know the duke.
Anyone out there ever had anything like this before.I sure don't want any problems at the track for sure.
Any input would be great.btw my duke gives my bro's fits in the tight twisties.They get me on the long straights.I would love to see what would happen at Chuckwalla.Too bad they don't do tracks.
