I thought I'd mumble the news that with my acquisition of a Superduke R it's the fortieth bike I've owned.
I only got to ride it for the first time yesterday as the weather has been so dire. I managed 75 miles before the weather turned and I scuttled for home, so just long enough to scuff the tyres up and start bedding in the brakes, also make a mental checklist of the stuff I want to adjust. Even dodging shower clouds and farmers mud on the road the bike remained remarkably pristine. I'll run my fingers over the suspenders later to start dialling it in to my preferences. There will then be a short intermission while the rest of winter drags its ugly carcass away from my neighbourhood.
