Appleyards have just lost KTM! apparently KTM wanted them to be a solus dealer, which Appleyards didn't think would work. Bit of an acrimonious split apparently, they returned a truck-load of their KTM stock a couple of weeks back in disgust.
Bit of a pisser living in N. Yorks, been using them quite a bit for a couple of years now, and bar a couple of warranty issues been really good and helpful. Shame as the only other dealer within easy distance from my personal experience is shite. I rang KTM to voice my concerns, and suggest better dealer coverage, (I know, waste of breath), and they suggested Robinsons!
Perhaps we should petition KTM for better dealer coverage and support, (like BMW), and to not alienate their better dealers. Even the late great Dr F. used and recommended Appleyards.
Give them a call though, they may still do the service work for you.
