KTM Factory Rearsets Installed on 2008 SD 990 Black

I installed the I bought on my SD. The heel plates mount a little differently so I am not sure the MH heel plates are offset enough. I would like a set, but the stockers flex and I am not sure about the MH. I would say these are close to as sturdy as the Vortex rearsets I had on my Gixxer 750. Quality is excellent and in general they were not fiddly at all to mount and come with comprehensive instructions. Nice stuff, of course at over $549.00 USD this should be a high quality part.

The tabs were a risk on the Gixxer as well, but there it was a cast aluminium piece. At least with the SD it is a steel frame and can easily be repaired. The main reason I wanted them was to move them up and back, and additionally the straight pegs help limit crash damage in my experience. Like an extra slider. I am willing to risk bending or breaking the tab. it is a legitimate concern, but I think the risk is relatively low vice on a bike with a non-steel frame.

The things are little jewels though, and very sturdy, I weigh 235 and I can stand up on them with minimum if any flex. Very nice piece of kit at you say.

Not sure about the spares situation, but I am pretty sure you can get them.

As to the tabs, again, I will take the risk, and I am sure any solid pegs put you at risk as far as tab damage.

The KTM pegs are out of the power parts catalog, so I have no idea who makes them, all it says on them is KTM. The carbon bits they sell are made by Akropovic.

So, I guess I wasn't much help. I think they use sleeves and not bearings, but I did not take one apart to confirm this.
