was wondering if any of you fine chaps would know how big this new waterproof KTM Bag is. Looks good but is priced at £50 so might be tiny???

Has any one received the ktm powerparts side saddle bags? if so have you used them on a trip yet? Do you like them enough to buy them again? Also will they work with the Full Akra exhaust system. I want something that I can use for weekend trips that will not stop me from riding like a hooligan .

Not one person. Well I guess they most be on back order too.

Don't bother. Way too small , can't carry much in them and not water proof. Take a look at the Ventura bags for the SD. It's fraction of the price and it works.

Kriega luggage worked well on the 990 Superduke. Can't see it not being suitable for the 1290. It's versatile in terms of strapping different sizes together and waterproof. I'm going to my local KTM dealer as soon as my knackered left knee allows to check it out. My touring kit is planned to be Kriega 30 plus 2x20's on the passenger saddle,Famsa tank bag and Garmin GPS mounted on the KTM bracket if it ever becomes available.

Interesting. I used the Ventura system on my old VFR800 and my R1 but sold it with the VFR800. Did not like the attachment rails alway hanging off the tail when the bags were absent. Other than that a good system. I have the Krigega system and used it on the 990. But it's not plug and play. You have to deal with adjusting straps all the time. That's why I was interested in the Ktm bags. Easy to mount and remove when not needed.

Two Kriega 20s fit perfectly on the pillion seat of the 1290. Nice height to rest backpack on too.
