As you say two different bikes and styles.

it's nice havine one of each .until i wrecked my 1098 i to was lucky enough to have a choice,BUT,and this is just my opionon.

the ducati is a brill piece of kit,as is the ZX10,R1 ETC,but for one thing,i could not ride it every day as there was too much weight on my wrists.the duke is great riding position.

Two,down my favourite twisty road with my mates(who all have 1 litre sports bikes)i would be quicker, have far more fun and when we get there,my back and wrists would not be killing me.

So for a dedicated sports bike rider untill i got the DUKEto say that i think the duke is better, just shows you how good this bike really is.

I have since decided not to replace the 1098,but am going to do the duke up because its far more fun.

As Ogri would say.... "any rusty old nail is better than no bike at all"

Most bikes are fantastic these days. It's just personal preference as to which suits you best whether it's a 125 commuter or a CBR1000RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR or anything else in between (hell, even a Hardly Davison if that's what stamps your ticket!!).

SDs seem to appeal to middle-aged, experienced bikers who know and loath the discomfort of sports bikes and the unreliability of a lot of Italian stuff, but want a hooligan tool that makes them feel 18 again.

That'll be me sorted then
