Too much focus on the problem & crying about it, rather than solutions & just riding the thing. Very negative. Maybe a sports car or a Honda would be a better choice? A "perfect" bike has no character, no soul, no feel. The LC8 is an imperfect monster: set it up, maintain it, punish it, repeat. This is for what it is designed. It is NOT a "change oil & adjust valves every 42,000 miles" machine. You already have one of those in your garage.
First off - if the bike you're riding/reading about has less than 1000 miles, either ride it some more or stop reading. The thing does't wake up until then, and still gets better afterwards. During this <1000 mile period, get the proper ECU map; do the 2/3 gear mod; get a G2 throttle cam; get the throttle bodies synced; if that doesn't do it, take it back to the dealer & say "this isn't right - make it right or my $$ back, thanks." After that; love it, or leave it. It will never be a Honda/BMW/Suzuki/whatever you've come off of - it will demand as much from you as you do from it. Get on with the lawyers if you must, and let us know (in 7 years) how it went.
