Anyone remember the flooding a few years back when Tewkesbury copped it.
Well I always thought that was a biblical punishment vested on the town for two reasons
1. The amount of incest that goes on there
2. The feckin amount Pro Bolt charge for anything.
If they ever get a plague of locusts I will know I was right.
Anyway, Pro Bolt. Usually their stuff wouldnt interest me as I cant afford the titanium and cant stand the lurid adonised(?) shit that owners of crappy 80's bikes are so drawn to. Also it is far, far ,far too expensive for a miser such as I.
However, when I got the carbon Dymags and Braking discs (thanks Pilpton) I thought I would push the boat out. After all, how many times in your life will you get carbon wheels? I am still wanting the Power Commander by the way
Nice set of stainless steel disc bolts, jobs a goodun Or would be if the speedo still worked
Now this may be obvious to you, but it wasnt to me. So back out with the wheel, magnets are still in place, havent snagged the cable, all good.
Put it back together, no speedo
Down to Laguna (the worst dealer in the western world). Not for advice, I had blagged a go on a Daytona 675 for my next track bike. Blagged a go on a GSXR750K8 whilst I was there too Anyway I thought I would ask them = they have no idea, I am not suprised.
Next a 30 mile howl through the lanes to Tagg racing. He puts a magnet on the disc bolts and guess what
In order for your speedo to read, you nead cheap and nasty steel disc bolts. Have KTM no soul? The feckers
For sale, 1 set of blingy disc bolts, 1 careful owner suitable for track rider or road rider who doesnt care how fast he is going.............................
Err, actually that is me. Feck it I think I will keep em
