I know many have upgraded to new bars and I would like to hear what you have and likes dislikes over standard.
I am 6'3"ish and just feel a bit confined with the stock bars and a littLe to upright. Last year I started to develop some lower back pain and also in my wrists a bit. I need my back and wrists for competitive sports so was wondering if any that have upgraded noticed less of these issues.
Thanks

Pics would be welcome[/b]
I have the LSL flat bars on mine and love them. I'm 6'1" and although I didn't have any comfort issues these do just feel a little bit more comfortable. More than that for me though the position feels slightly more aggressive and they look great

These are a set of Suburban machine bars. They shake pretty good on an SDR, but they put my hands in a better position for fast tracks. Hopefully I can find a vibration solution.
I'm planning on having them mounted up at the end of May before heading north to run Mosport with the Canadian Ducati club.
Mosport rocks!

I have Rizoma bars that are not flat but a lot lower and more forward than the standard bars. Much better for tracks and fast riding and lets you lean into the wind more on fast road journeys.

Here's the spec for standard bars:

I cut my Rizoma bars down to the minimum they would go without fowling the tank with the switch gear. I had to rotate the right hand cluster a bit - it only clears by about 5mm.

For me it's a balance between the leverage of wide bars for counter-steering and the very real requirements of filtering in London traffic where narrow bikes have a huge advantage, (you ever been stuck behind some adventure dick on a BMW1200 with panniers? Might as well be in a car).

I had to reset the steering lock bolts a bit so I have slightly less lock but it doesn't effect doing tight U-turns in narrow streets. I also put my R&G bar end weights on a lathe and turned them down to only about 5mm so they still have the sliders on but reduced the width by another 40mm or so. Also swapped long Rizoma levers over to ASV so now they do not stick out wider than the bar ends. No increase in vibration or anything that I have noticed and I've been riding with the bars like this on track and road for about a year.
