Got the letter Saturday and checked brakes today and found a diferent problem - my 08 (59 reg) SD looks like it has been fitted with discs that are too small by KTM

The pads on both sides sit 3 to 4mm higher than the actual disc i.e. the top of the pads is not in contact with the disc:

Got a metal ruler to measure from the axel spacer on the offside to the edge of the disc which is 135mm. Can someone measure their disc so I can compare what it should be:

Will be calling a certain KTM dealer in Long Eaton in the morning who surplied and then undertook the first service without noticing this
This is the culmination of over a years campaigning about this since I was thrown down the road last January.

This is a link back to al the threads I have been involved with.

If KTM think this matter is finished because of a letter, they are sadly mistaken.

Just check out the KTM UK Forum and the number of threads on Brake related issues,

i think the SD discs are 320mm and the SM/SMC are 305mm.
I think some SD bikes had the SM discs fitted by mistake and your dealer should change them no problem.
