Low milage 990sd

Hi all
I'm thinking of buying a 990sd at the moment and I'm looking for some advice.
I have found an immaculate 990 with less that 2k miles. The problem I have is the bike is 10 years old, the last service was about 8 years ago. It was running rough a few weeks ago, this was caused by old petrol. Changing the petrol and spaark plugs fixed the problem and it is running properly again.
Could old petrol and oils cause other problems?
The bike was ridden every year, but only for a fee mmiles. If I buy the bike it will get a full service and new tyres, but I'm more concerned about the lack of servicing and lack of use.

there is one local to me that has 53 miles on it the guy wants like 8K for it .. guy bought it and never rode it ... i ended up buying one with 2200 miles on it a few months ago first thing i did was put tyres on it and i have 3K on it now with 0 issues ..
