Hey dudes-
I bought a 1290R with low, low miles back in December. Having a blast on it so far, but as the weather starts to warm up I'd like to take it on some weekend camping adventures. This means I need some luggage. I like the look of the powerparts side bags, I think they don't destroy the look of the bike. Any other ideas out there? I've searched high and low, and really not found much info.
About the luggage-- I also want to buy an aftermarket pipe (slip on). Does anyone know what pipes are or are not compatible with the KTM Powerparts side bags? I'd hate to drop several hundred on the bags, or several hundred on the exhaust, and find out that one won't work with the other.
Also, the bike has had the Yoshimura tail tidy before I bought it. I don't have the original tail. Do any of the luggage systems require any part of the tail, either for mounting or support?
