luggage solutions?

I like to do a few bike ralleys with pals over the year, got set of Oxford sports panniers.

Can anyone suggest solution to them potentially melting on the exhausts, or does anyone have similar experience?

Im thinking maybe heat proof tape or similar?

On another subject.... i have an aquaintance who keeps enquiring if i still have the Crosser!!!!...... trouble is, he aint winding me up just hasnt got a clue what they are all about!

I'd recommend the KTM (or Baglux) tankbag and either a tail pack or or rucksack.

if you must use the panniers you'll need something a lot more substantial than tape to protect them. Something like plumbers' flame proof soldering guards might do it
