Finally bought an SD today after much dreaming and saving, saw a nice one yesterday on the internet and today it's mine.

2006 model with 1200 on the clock, and a nice set of Akras, a comfort seat and a carbon mask already.

Absolutely loving the beast, such a different bike to my other ride (525 exc supermoto), it's so smooth and effin' quick!
Looking forward to getting her on a track to stretch her legs.

OK, it looks like it is that one....what was wrong with said bike? Dealer said about slight scrape on the rad pipe but that was all.
I'm a bit worried now.

Millar....... bike was originally purchased from on yer bike by skavitch who was told it was as new,on inpection it turned out to have a bad crash repair and he returned to bike to the dealers... last week or so another member randyroo also purchased the same bike and when told by the members on here of its history also returned it... bike came up clear on hpi as i recall.... will dig out some threads regarding the bike for ya.

I'm going to go out an inspect the damage properly. I was told it had been dropped at some time, and just cosmetically touched up.
Will the damage to the rad, as pictured in one of the above threads cause problems. I may speak to Bracken, and if it's more than cosmetic, I will chase up either a full refund or at least some back to repair said damage.

Thats 3 times now they have blantantly lied regarding the bikes history. Once you could forgive just about (Oh sorry we didn't spot it, good PDI by the mechanics then!) but 3 times! Just wonder what other bikes they are selling as mint when they aren't. Might be worth a call to trading standards and KTM UK! I HATE bad customer service. Millar, get down there ASAP for yer money back.

As far as I can see, the damage is mainly to the rad pipe in the right and the rad corner which are a bit flattened. The force has also crushed a section of the rad from the front.
Any idea what a new rad costs, so I can at least have a figure in mind for a refund.

Just aside thought, did they tell you it had a power commander fitted? They seem to be telling everybody else, and they know FULL WELL that it hasn't.

Nah, no mention of a powercommander. Unfortunately the advert from autotrader has been removed, so I don't have their wording.

Bike has gone and I've got the cheque.

Sales manager was apologetic, saying he'd not known the extent of the damage

I'll keep an eye on their website for the bike coming up for sale again, hopefully they'll realise they can't get away with misleading their customers and will be a bit more honest with regards the bike's history.

Yeah right, hopefuly now there is a 'sticky' on the bike, the next person will be forewarned and if willing to take the chance, able to obtain a substantial discount by quoting a few 'facts'
