Hey Guys, I got all my mods.Going to try do them all at the same time.Got the R&G tail tidy the FMF apex and the motobox.I got the bike on the stand.Got a/c installed in the garage.Been working on it all day.So now I got the stock exhaust off the side panals Thought I wound do the tail tidy first then the exhaust the tackle the motobox. The tail tidy is giving me grief.I removed the bolts nothing want to come off.I am taking a break then I 'll hit again. The exaust is going smooth. The motobox is tough cause some of the pictures are not the same as my bike. What year bike is in the instructions? mine is an 08 I am sure I will figure it out. They really help.well back to work having trouble removing the fender.Looking forward to having it all done. Will I need to remap?I have the ecu cables I bought a set from the guy on this forum.Any input will be great.
Take your time. Even if it takes a couple days. For the motobox, the bike is an '07 and on. Should be the same as yours. Yes, you will need to remap. Check out the ecu thread, good info in there.

Most of all, all your answers are here in the forum.
Hi Duke,

The photos in the instructions are my bike, and like Grendel says it's an '07. But really most of the images relating to the Motobox would be identical for earlier models too. It's not too bad doing anything - the hardest part is getting to the bolts on the front cylinder SAS plate. You need either a lot of patience or a friend with small hands! But it is possible, just a pain. Any problems just post up here and there will be a lot of help - so many people will have done this mod now.

Motohooligan has asked me if I'll do more instructions for his other bits of kit so I'll be putting together similar PDF of the secondary butterflies, clutch cover and tank hinges. Always good to know that people find them useful.

Good luck.

This is a picture of the special tool I used to get to the front SAS plates all those years ago.

Sent you PM mate
Thanks guys we did it I put the R&G tail tidy what a pain in the arse.Your have to be creative. The licance plate does not fit my az plate. We used parts ftom the stock parts to make it work. One problem was the light for the plate. We got that dialed in looks great. They say you need five inches of wire but when you use the tiny turn signals you have plenty of wire. Now the moto box.I printed the instrustions so I could follow them. There is not much info on the butter flies I did use the lock tight. The problem is I looked at the valves when I removed all the stuff This bike only has 600 miles and it looks like crap in there. The gas is so bad I was really bummed I don't know what do.It's an 08 I got it with 212 miles.I only use premium. My friend who is a mech.told me this is happening more and more The gas is really bad now.The moto box went good glad we are glad we had some instrustions it helped. Then we installed the FMF apex pipes.Damn the stock y system must way over 50 pounds. So we did it all in one night. It looks great and the sound when I started it up I was blown a away.I had been working in the garage all day.The bike is still on the stand still need to put the panels on.Plus it was after 1am It's loud so I will ride it later today. It has the stock map.So I know it is running a little lean. Now the big question I bought the ecu cables.I am not a puter guy.every time I tried to open a file I go to a site that wants money for a program to read this file and it said free. Can someone please help me how do I use my ecu cable no instuctions again I have no clue I tried to read the threads I just don't get it.What map do I need for my 08 duke with the FMF apex and the motobox with butterflies. How do get the map to my bike if I do have to pay which site is good.I need to remap cause I know the bike is running lean. Please I need remapping for dummmies none of this stuff seems to work for me.I should probley ask a twelve year old kid they always know more than me.So anyone that can help me do a step by step I would be in your debt thanks .I can hardley wait to ride it .The sound and the way it rev's is so cool I bet it's gonna fly.Once it's all done I will try to post some pics. Thanks again guys Vic

Don't forget to Install some O2 eliminators.

The O2 sensor eliminators defeat the O2 sensors in the pipes. These sensors are constantly trying to lean ou the F/A mixture to appease the EPA. This results in jerky throttle action. If you bought the Tune ECU cable you can turn them off when you load your new map.

If you are not familiar with Tune ECU I would refrain from messing about too much. That software will allow you to F things up pretty good if you do not know what you are doing.

Just sayin....
