Had the battery out today cleaning things up and accidentally touched the wrong battery cable to the wrong fook'n post.

Have lost ALL power. No fuses seem to be blown .

What the FOOK did i do , what happened and what can i expect - -- DAMN !!!!

You say you've checked all of the fuses....did you check the 30A fuse? I believe it's located by the battery. I'm not tearing my bike apart to find it but should be down in the chin fairing next to batt.

Don't just visually check it. Put a continuity meter on it.

It will have probably blown the (big green) 30 amp fuse at the starter relay - at least that's what happened when I did the same on my 996S.

You have actually now put the cables round the correct way, haven't you

Is the positive cable a "fuse-able link"?

Like on a car. If so it can be replaced.

Start with disconnecting the battery again and actually check if there is juice left in it (put a 12 v testlight over it) ! Since it is a Lifopho it might be completely discharged.
If it is fine put it back in and makie sure it is the right way around now!
Then use the 12 v test light to follow the wiring and see where the issue is, not that hard. Put the negative clamp if the test light on the engine and start with the light at the battery and follow the cables over the main relay, fuses etc.
As mentioned above it is possibly the 30A fuse.

i swear i posted a complete response yesterday and it appears it's not posted here. The following is the full explanation.

First of all thanks to you guys who offer help , greatly appreciated. Really. Good to know there's help here.

Well i woke up at 4 am the first night this happened with wiring on my mind - couldn't sleep. At this point i couldn't really remember what i had done wrong exactly ... Went out to the shop and pulled all the fuses as to you guys recommendations and brought em in and put the multi meter to them ------- ALL GOOD and i got that sinking feeling again something was going to be seriously wrong and went back to sleep totally bummed ....

Woke up again at 5:00 am still thinking wiring - The smartest thing i did was dig out the PDF wiring diagram from the manual and started studying it . Finally noticed the wires / cables to the battery look'd very different from how my memory recalled i'd hook'd it up initially. And realizing there are actually fuses that should have blown to save my ass from the royal fook up of things i felt somewhat relieved and went back to sleep anxious to wake up at sunlight to go investigate the bike with new hope.

So here's what i had done ----- You see i could have sworn i took the heavy black cable ( which actually was a ground ) and the little black wire ( actually also a ground ) and had mounted them both to the positive side of the battery because that's what i thought i remembered i'd done or how they were removed. You see while working on the battery i just approached it by memory and tried to commit how i took it apart to memory ( Stupid now in hindsight ) ( i should rather understand the system rather than go from memory - new lesson learned ) Anyway - What i had done was stack those two ground wires up on top of the positive battery post along with the correct positive cable from relay . And i had correctly put the Rectifier cable onto the correct negative post of battery ... So basically Nothing happened and also why there was absolutely NO POWER...

So i wake up and go straight to the shop/ bike and put things together correctly and yess sir the instrument panel lights back up boots up and so far seems all is back to normal ---- I have not been able to start the bike yet to verify as the Oil tank and Radiator are off But i'm pretty sure that since the cables were all stacked onto the positive post Nothing happened and all good fuses pretty much verify this - And i'll keep the hope that it's true when i get it back together today and press the start button...

Man, I'm sorry. I meant, that was an excellent guess and I am sure if they used the electrics from a 72 chevyC2500 or equivalant, you would have saved JJohnJr all kinds of wasted time.
But as it is, it was just a shitty guess not unlike JJ's shitty guess on how to hook up the leads that go to a battery.
You two boneheads should take a class in fuse saving techniques at the local Pep Boyz techtip siminars.

Was out ridin the bike today - all is well. One thing this all turned out to be was a great learning experience - and i'm very thankful it was a experience that didn't end up costing dearly $$$ ... And Klinky should know i didn't drop to my knees in prayer - but something similar
