#10I first saw one in 05 but could not really afford it, but really wanted one. (never thought about a loan).
Then my mate at the time got a new bike and I decided I wanted something decent, was a toss up between a tuono and a duke, was set up to buy a tuono as could not find any used SD's but an SD came up but was sold within the day however the salesman said he had his own for sale it had 200 more miles on.
Joined this sight every one said it was awsome so picked it up with out test riding one from Sussex aint stopped grinning 2 1/2 years later.
Was a damn good buy but my fetish for aftermarket parts was not part of the deal.....

#19I came back from ten days vacation in Portugal and was jonesing for some Internet motorcycle day dreaming. I pretty much thought I wanted a SD and thought I'd buy one if the price was right. This was before the economy went to hell so people weren't giving them away like now. Jumped on ebay and saw a new 07 with a starting bid $9000 and the auction ending in 1hr. Bid $9500, no dice. $10,000, nope. Thought no way is this bike selling for less than $11,500. So what the hell lets see, bid $10,500...opps, met the reserve and I was the only bidder. Didn't expect that. Off to the bedroom to workoff some jet lag with the girlfriend. Went back to check the auction and saw I was the owner of a new 07 Super Duke for $10,500...850 miles from where I lived. A few days later I hoped in my truck and drove half a day from Chicago to South Carolina to pick her up. Broke it in right in the Deals Gap area and haven't looked back since. So for me the SD won the naked bike battle of the year two years ago.
