#4Honda don't recognised the problem (but I am sure they noticed huge consumption of CCT's, valves & con rods for the Firestorm!!)
Some press do seem to talk about it but not much.
I asked a dealer once whether it was known to Honda that this was an issue. He said that there was no problem (... the mechanic told me different!) However when I went to trade in the VTR the first question asked was 'when were the CCT's replaced last?' - funny that?!
Does your dad log on to the UK VTR board?

#6If the 07 does end up retailing at that price it will be fantastic news for those of us who got the 06 at 7 grand or less.....second hand values should go back up again! Not that I could sell it, would be more likely to sell my daughter!
