Please be aware that this is a specific Superduke forum,therefore we can only expect SD owners,or prospective owners to be participating in this site, and as such the number of posters we can assume to get are comparativley low compared to other sites that have a wider audience....... therefore i can only suggest that as a member of superduke.net you take an active interest in this site and the way it runs,as only YOU as a member and poster can influence the way this site works........ there seems to be very few posters out of the total number of members,and while i can appreciate not every one wishes to post all of the time, all thoughts and suggestions are appreciated and worthwhile putting into print.

THIS IS YOUR FORUM........... PLEASE PARTICIPATE AND MAKE IT A GOOD PLACE TO BE

Guys we all rip the piss out of each other now and again,and joe posting as much as he does therefore puts his head above the parapet more than most,BUT without the likes of joe and others who regulary post this site would be seriously dead,and i for one welcome anyone who is willing to particpate in the forum to whatever degree that maybe......... as stated this place is only as good as WE make it,being a niche bike forum we are seriously disadvantaged numbers wise,but the ammount of members we have registered should in theory give us a healthy ammount of posters to keep the site ticking along nicely,the fact that only 20 or so regulary bother to post is a worry


Ian,i agree some pruning of seemingly dead accounts might be in order,so guys if you do read this and have never posted before for whatever reason,give this problem a thought,and just try to join in now and again.

Purge the infidels - I'm sure the non-posting "members" are just shopping for info or spammers that can't seem to get their spam on.

I think this place would be a more boring, less entertaining place w/o Joe's stream-of-consciousness posts, and if he ever falls below a 5 post-per-day average, I may have to ride up there & revive him.

I think one of the reasons why it's not more posts, is that the SD is such a good bike that it's less modifications done than for other bikes. Except for a slip-on (normally akra) there's not that much you need to do, it's great straight from the box Well, if you don't start on the CF-stuff

Also being a low volume bike, less suppliers bother to make special parts. A lot of the posts on other forums are about modifications and problems, so in a way it's good...maybe

I may not share the interests of the majority, but I don't come here as often b/c of the low signal to noise ratio.

I love learning more about the SD, but don't have time for all the irrelevant banter that I have to wade through to get to the good stuff.

My suggestions:
- add regional forums for GTG's and for sale stuff. I'm not going to buy something posted FS in Europe or Australia, and won't attend a GTG there unless I happen to be traveling in the area. I think it would be great to have a Texas forum to bring a greater sense of community to the local crowd (we'd prob. even let Joe visit it).
- add a User Control Panel so you can see only the forums of interest to you when you visit the site
- Have a link to go to the first unread post near the top of every thread.

Additionally, I agree that the bike is so damn good that there's not much to bitch about or mod. I have an Akra Evo slip-on, wheel bobbins/axle sliders, and will be done when I get my frame sliders. I've never before had such a completely satisfactory bike straight from the factory!

as far as me visiting ....Woah,, I dunno, such a demanding host may string me up and skin me, then eat my heart raw.

you don't want too much,,except for a Chris S forum! this is the only forum i come to cos the others are all business that is NOT what joe wants,

but what joe has found is a band of brothers that ARE friends of mine,

I could no way put a price of what that has meant to me since I had a near death experience,,,, priceless. you can not BUY friends like these.

This is one case where smaller is better. Although I don't post too often, of all the sites I visit, this one has the least amount of bickering and bullshirt.
The "high number" posters are the regulars who give this site its personality. The fact that us yankees are made to feel so welcome in your home helps as well.

The SD is still a rare sight here in US. Not much of a following. Too bad others don't realise what they're missing. But I suppose that's a good thing as well.

On a serious note
no really i joined the site a couple of days ago and i am thoroughly enjoying the experience, i work all over the world and sometimes can't get to the internet but i will make an effort to put more info on the site. As it is a small haven of relieve from the crap that goes on in the real world
i shall get off my soap box now

you let people know what you want and suddenly everything can change, practically they change overnight,

alls it took was for 1 person out of many to come along and say his name as a 3rd person, after that happened, and the unnamed person said it,

it changed the whole world, this is the dream of many a man is to change the world, I hope this unnamed person will know who he is cos it does matter.
