Didn't mean to sound like a safety-conscious do-gooder. Scrub the edges off new tyres as soon as I can, by any means. Even done the anti clockwise roundabout a few times.

But there's a bit of a fine line between banter between good riders taking the mick of each other and inexperienced riders feeling pressurised to go ride beyond their limit to prove something. We're talking about male egos here, they make people do crazy things.

Just saying.

I agree with all the comments entirely. But here's a question, if you knew you were going to die on a motorbike would you still ride? I've got a family and my own business so risks are few and far between nowadays But would i still ride? To bloody right I WOULD!!
The problem being is it's always someone elses useless driving that causes the accident

Just spotted these. Way better than the Metzlers.

Pirelli Thermochromes use the same technology as plastic kitchenware that changes colour with temperature. Tyre material is black when cool but changes to bright colour when heated up. Available in loads of different colours - even orange!

Heat change stays for several minutes after use so great for pulling into car parks and showing you've been having fun.

Also good for checking that you tyre warmers are working evenly.
