To my (extremely anal) surprise they're quite heavy. I stuck them on the scales and they're 27g each, or 54g together.
They're absolutely gorgeous though. Nicely machined with chamfers at every conceivable spot. *droooool*
However, I can't get over the weight and thickness. As I've got a milling machine, I've been intending to machine my own plates, but I took the lazy way out and bought these.
So, should I:
1) Stop being anal and not worry about a total of 54g... Just ride the thing. Put them on and be happy, forget about it.
2) Stick them in the milling machine and start shaving off weight. I'll lose all the beauty wherever my sh***y mill will touch the plates. Naturally the anodising will also be lost.
3) Revert to the original plan and fire up the milling machine and make my own, leaving the gorgeous Motohooligan plates for someone who'll appreciate their beauty. Targeting < 10g each...?!
What's the esteemed panel's opinion? Let the banter begin!
