#11this is comforting after the 1200 miles I was getting from the corsa III's and much to my amazement the M-3's are sticky.
I was getting on the highway this week and the rear felt to step out as if was slipping a little but I think the traction fades with wear.

#14The wet grip is awesome though. Wasn't expecting the front to lift last night.

#24I think I could make it easy on the stock 208rr's and then replace them, how are they on the track?
I hate to completely fry a new set of tyres in a day and then have to buy another set.

#25I use 2CT's in the UK for winter track days. They are better than race rubber with air temp lower than 15 degrees celcius.
For summer days track based tyres have the advantage. Because of the grooves 2ct's will eventually overheat and get slippy. Definately use Pilot Power 2ct's also not Pilot Road 2's as they overheat really quickly.
My experience is based on fast group Uk tracks. If you are running at novice or inter pace they will be fine all day. Also if your track is a few miles long and has some long straights they will be good throughout.
In this part of the UK we end up riding around 1 mile tracks with predominently right hand turns. So the middle and left side of tyre remain like new when the right side is wrecked.

#26I would guess our temps could be in the 90's F as it is hot here in Kansas in summer.
been cool most of the summer but it seems to be getting warmer.
The 2CT's seem really soft, anything better for higher temps or are thes good ?
I used to race but haven't in years so I will be hangin in the novices for a while.
I used to race this track although the configuration has changed some.
Not going to hang it out too much, a broken pelvis a few years ago made me dial it back a bit.

#27The grooves in a 2CT will always cause more heat buildup. That said, you will be suprised how well they work. They really are the ultimate fit and forget tyre and will cope with just about everything.
If the track is damp though, 2ct's will be the thing to have. Right up to standing water when race wets are the only option.
If your choice is limited to 2ct's or D208rr's I would take the 2ct's without hesitation. Dunlop make rubber boots for schoolchildren and fishermen here in the UK and that is about their limit. I know they did make some good track rubber for small capacity bikes but fast road tyres? Forget it, sporty Dunlops are like owning a racing snail.

#28A rain is possible but we mainly get storms early morning or evening in the summer here, some can be heavy but don't last long usually.
July and August are pretty dry and hot around here.

#29my gixer thou has qualifier rr's (direct rival to 2ct) and very few people get past me on track
