Miles after fuel light comes on before you run dry?

I just finished the break-in mileage on my Superduke and it's running great. Love the Akras with map. I took the baffles out of the Akras for a 300 mile ride and got 3 miles before pulling them out of my backpack and putting them back in. I could not believe how loud it was and I ride with earplugs.

Since I have been unwilling to find out the hard way I have no idea how far I can go on reserve. After the fuel lamp lights how far do most folks before empty?
it says in the book you have 30km but on my R if i ride hard the light comes on at 100mls and then i have filled up 30mls later at 130mls and i reckon that was pretty much it as i'd say i had a cupfull fuel left, but each bike will be slightly different and i guess as the engine puts on the miles it might also change

23 miles with the light on - the last mile was with shaking the bike after it had stopped to get it going again while trying to find a petrol station.......
