More racing...

Oukei, went for second race last weekend to Alastaro.

Times from saturday qualifications:

1. (0.280), 11.324/199.01
2. (0.029), 11.208/201.13
3. (0.032), 10.872/200.74
4. stalled on lights (guys promised to put this one on youtube... )

Weather was great, not too hot but sunny all day. Managed to get very equal end speeds for all pulls, but times are still too variable. Again had lots of trouble with lifting front tyre...
End of day I was second qualifier.

On sunday started with one qualification round and after that started with eliminations.

5. (0.084), 11.489/198.05

Kept the second place in qualifications.

In eliminations we had 8 racers.

1. round. The opponent took a massive redlight (-0.100) so I was winner automatically. I also took redlight, went full throttle 2/4 way and then slowed down.

2. round, semifinal. This had to be most hardest pull so far. Had a GSXR 750 as opponent. Because of his dial-in he left lights almost a second before me. At that point a second feels like an hour! Anyway, he had problems with gears and I lost my concentration on that and got bad reactions. Then again full throttle 2/4 way when looked back and opponent was quite far behind me so I took me up and slowed a little bit. Was first of course. Funny part is, these two pulls are almost identicals! Only thousands differ on 60, 330, 660 feet and speed!

3. round, final. Yep, got me in final in my second race!
This time the opponent was a real hard bone. He had been going very accurately on his index and well, me not. This time I was going first and didn't got that advance to follow. Well, full speed away to around 3/4 way, then looked where this guy is and he was still quite far behind and didn't seem to have much speed so again slowed a little bit (not to break my index) and surprise! I was first!

So, I won

Damn. Second race and first win! Feels awesome!
And I won all these built dragbike gixxers and cbr's with a naked bike, Super Duke!
You guys probably can also imagine what was people's expressions after that! -->

Story didn't end for that either, my bro was there also tuning his ProMod for next FIA race. He won PM class! Double victory in family!

It's Street Bike class. Racers have own personal index. Like mine was 10.85. If racer breaks in, goes faster than that, it means losing. Some classes like Pro Street Bike have class index, and racers try to get as close it as possible.

Check out and there on left "About dragracing". It's a swedish site for NDRS. I'm also in Nordic series points.

And those times... (this is reaction time), this is 1/4 mile time/and this is speed in km/h i.e. (0.004), 10.872/203.51

So far I've modded SD very mildly. Didn't get TuneBoy working and been talking with Stuart about it. When it works, SD should be going quite well... Already been doing maps for strip, just can't wait to test those!

Little update from last two races.

A week ago was Nitro Nationals in Alastaro. A FIA/UEM, NDRS and national race which is biggest drag race here in Finland.
Street machines were going on thursday and friday and FIA/UEM's on saturday and sunday.

On qualification I did my best time so far, 10.813/200.47 which was very nice. Started to get good set ups for bike and it feels better every time.
On qualification I was left on 4th place with reactions 0.029.
Friday I had very early start on eliminations and found out that my SD is VERY bad morning waker. Felt that my bike was asleep when had to go for first round. Which was also last round. Managed to do 11.208/195.86



Last weekend we had Speed Weekend race, bikes only.
On saturday qualifacations did again my best time, 10.795/200.49. This day was very, very weird. I was taking red lights all the time and only two good runs, but with bad reactions so I was left 5th in qualification. On sunday it was raining so eliminations were cancelled.

At the moment, I'm 2nd in national points and 1st in Scandinavian points. Something good still even these races weren't success.

What pressure are you running on those tyres dude? Rear looks low...

1.2 bars. It's Michelin Pilot Road tyre. I tried Pilot Power, but it melted off, even I'm not doing massive smokes in burn out!

It´s not the first trophy on SD:s.

Last year, BoTT race (Battle Of The Twins) winner was a SD.

perhaps it is the way in which I launch, wil try your rear suspension set up, it's the one thing I haven't done because when I race the SD, I have to ride it there. 15kg may or may not make a difference, nut being lighter sure would help.
