helllo folks ,just fitted the moto hooligan kit , ie the air box,sas plates, throttle flies and resister, which i purchased as a complete kit, followed the instructions listed on here via a laptop with it downloaded onto , sat in the garage to follow step by step which was invaluable and made it completely bearable . i also have fitted akros, with the remap from my dealer , 02 eliminator plugs, and 40 tooth rear sprocket with longer chain to fit, and in total all these mods, make it a super smooth power house , no i repeat no jekiness on throttle and smooth delivery of great torque, i havent fitted a power comm yet ! wondering if to do so yet , only concern is running too lean but with the ktm akro map it delivers gob fulls of fuel . anyway if anyone out there is thinking of doing these mods i can honestly say yes ,more power ,noise , and most important to me is the smoothness of delivery of power. as for fitting only annoying bit was the front sas plate fitting which no doubt you have read about, but i am a patient type and just perserverence got it done, everything else is done word for word off the instructions , bingo..next job clutch cylinder change to oberon upgrade ,,

+1 on the snatchiness smoothing out. Going from closed to slightly open throttle was MUCH improved. I had gotten used to to it by now, so it was indeed noticeable.
Congrats on all the mods! Your bike sounds like it's about finished....all that's left to do is RIDE IT!!!

I would ditch the PCIII and get yourself a TuneECU cable. You will not get a better setup and will get a few quid back for the PCIII. it's a win, win

#11Nice to hear the Motobox fitting instruction manual is being put to good use! It seems a very long time ago I did that but to read how it made the road to, (sound and power), liberation a more pleasurable experience for you cheeseydave - that's all the reward I need. Fitting the Oberon clutch cylinder soon myself - it's just sitting here waiting with a bottle of Magura Oil ready. Maybe I'll photo-story this exercise too and make a guide too but I suspect it's so easy it wouldn't require one.

#16int get me wrong tj... I built my own cable too... When we didn't really know where to get parts from... If u are not confident in making the cable correctly then don't do it as u can fry the ecu if u get wires mixed up.
The other thing to look out for is that the adaptor plug has the correct pins enabled.. As to cut costs the don't have a wire and pin for every pin location. As for example Mitsubishi one won't work but a Mercedes one will
