#4Don't go near Neebo or Glorious around this time of year. Got busted a couple of years ago at 6:30 in the morning, 6:30. What prick Plod goes up there at 6:30am. Anyway it was a big fine and loss of licence so fought it in court and won. Turns out most traffic Plod are useless at paperwork, especially radar certificates. They rely on people just paying up. It is also the reason I bought a dirt bike to ride. Glasshouse mountains and Mt Mee are awesome. The best part Plod leave you alone

#6Where's Wilco? was up their sunday for lunch must have been lucky as I missed plod, looks like the harrassment has started again. I think the best thing riders can do is to lobby the local cafe/restaurant owners to complain to their local member that the police presence on the mountain is scaring their customers away. I wouldn't mind if they were policing speeding but when you get complete bone smokers like wilkins operating it is just revenue raising and harrassment.

You can take it to court but its going to cost you time off work and your word against the cop. If you win its still going to cost you loss of wages for the day. The pigs know this and its just easier to pay the fine. The cops are just doing a job I know but they have to stop with the bullying tactics it just seems that their job is going to their heads.

#8We should start a petition which we can send into Geoff Wilson (not a bad mp) complaining of the harrassment and the loss of business on the mountain due to the bacon. Can't do it this weekend but could do something next weekend and hang around at the different cafés for the day. Is there anyone with legal experience here who could draft something up to sign for?

They did something similar in North Wales UK .....It sparked off 'Reclaim North Wales Action Day' thousands & Thousands of bikes turned up.....

amazing really, sure nebo is a great road, i love it, really love it! but it's not the be all and end all, SE QLD has some awesome roads to ride, what are they thinking? they give us a ticket for noisy pipes and a lecture about responsibility and we're going to disappear off the face of the planet? retards!
I'll just ride somewhere else, no great loss, too many Q ride wobblers about up there anyway, and the way i figure it most of the traffic nazi's are that young they need a note from mum before they can venture much further from the city centre.

Only use the husky to commute to work and for a ride in the bush where that is still possible before they stop that too.
The SD has been sitting in the shed for 2 weeks unloved, unstarted and I can't see the point taking it out for a spin.
Like I said I love this country to bits since the first time I came here and I only ever wanted to return here to stay.
It is heartbreaking to see that it has gone to sh1t due to idiot politicians that are no good for anything else.
It is time we stand up and kick the idiots out together with all their bullsh1t if we want to survive.
We need to get up and get over the "she be right" attitude and make a stand. To turn the knife in to the wound now the losers have voted themself in to a huge payrise all for doing a crap job!

#14I'm not riding in QLD any more I got done going on 5 weeks back for doing 97 in 80k zone the funny thing is when I looked at my speedo I was doing 87kph. I was following a dude in front doing the same speed and was keeping a safe gap between us. The cop shows me the speed on the lie - dar detector and the other dude was doing 87 and he reckons that I was doing 97 so I said to the cop how can I be doing 97 when I am following behind the other rider? He says you must have been trying to catch up and then asked me If the other rider was a mate and I said no then he let him go. I took note of the other rides rego number he was on a BKing and I thought maybe this may have been a set up.?
This is really high way robbery.
I used to think that if I saw a copper being bashed up by the side of the road that I would try and help but not any more I just might join in and get my moneys worth!!

#15I don't ride MT Nebo much, to many cops & bicycles, if I do ride in that area it is a 530am start & Saturdays ony. There is so many other mountain routes around SE Queensland to ride that are not as Policed as MT Nebo, I ride most weekends on Saturdays & have done 10500kms in the last 6 months mostly Police free.

& the sting was for no cat in the system.
Any other states got this going on ?
Got an email form a mate who just got a new Apriia & just put his system on when he got this info off the Aprilia Forum

They have been issued with meters to detect exhaust gases that indicate that the cat has been removed.
Bike in instantly unroadworthy plates and rego sticker removed, you must get the bike trailered home get the RWC done and get the bike re-registered.
Oh there is also a $600 fine and four points
Get caught three times and it is bye bye bike under the anti hoon laws.
This shameless cash grab was proposed some time ago but rejected by the Bligh gov.
Another study was done indicating that 1 in 3 bikes had an aftermarket exhaust with the cat removed and the study showed that the revenue raised could be as high as $200mil.Wtf
Think about how many business may suffer as well in sales, tuning etc.

#18The only way to fook with them is to get the local business owners in the media complaining about how the police are destroying their livelihoods, you only have to look at the channel 9 report to see the spin the western suburbs traffic branch put on this sort of thing I bet they interviewed 20 people before they found the nonce who thought that a bigger police presence on the mountain was a good idea and even then it was probably just the way they edited the footage. If there is one thing that the media will take notice of in this country it is private enterprise claiming that their throats are being cut at the hands of government you only have to listen to talkback radio to work that one out. I remember during the last blitz seeing the bird who owned the maiala tea house having coffee with chief plod and thinking wtf he is destroying your bussiness luv, sick of the spin and victimisation by this lot.

so yes, we need a fully independent association to speak for ALL riders against victimisation and harassment. This for me would also include councils who buckle under pressure from new home owners whining against existing MX club tracks being noisy. Did they ever think about the surroundings before they bought their "value" block of land???
Governments who sensationalise behaviour of a minority group for purely political gain should be exposed for the lazy self serving leeches they are and booted.
