My 1290 is run in

Got my 1290 run in well. It's at 930kms now. Short trip to the dealer and she will be close to a 1000 mark.

Did 400+kms today and the bike performed flawlessly. It ate up corners with a spoon. Did nothing wrong and everything right.

I had people chasing me with not much luck and I wasn't even pushing. Well done KTM.

My petty cosmetic complaints seem very distant now and don't matter as much.

It sounds much better than the stock can did without the baffle of course. Has a much deeper tone which is what I was after. I know it sounds nuts paying 1350 for sound alone, but this is important music to my ears

Rode from day 1 without the baffle. Otherwise you might as well keep the stock can.

Got my SD serviced today. It was pouring rain so I couldn't really give her a good go, but it's good to know I can now run her freely without keeping that 6500rpm limiter in mind. As soon as the bike crossed over 1000kms the limit self raised to 8500 to 10000. Hardly any shavings in the filter, didn't consume much oil at all and oil seems rather clean. No fault codes or other mechanical issues.

Happy with that report and keen to give her a good go now.

I just picked up mine from the first service today too.

I rode into the dealer with 999km
