Ok ok was not me sat on it, the mighty wheelie king Sabre was in Dans RebBull pimped to fook superduke as we had a bike swap and a quick blast around lincs and he promptly wheelied it all over the shop.
This is the first time I have ridden an SDR (was pre 08 one) things I found better were the clutch changes and err.....did I mention the clutch changes were good? defo slicker than my bike.
Sabres bike was running dunlop RR's and the rock hard "soft settings" were too much for me, far to stiff and did not soak up the bumps at all, would be an absolute weapon on track however no doubt about it. Could feel I was perched higher on the dare I say it....not that uncomfortable a seat. The lack of motobox action was a much quieter ride now, and as a result can now apprechiate the noise it delivers as had not been on my bike for some time when I fitted it.
Am now thinking swapping to 180 rear spring is going to be a PITA for trackdays as I was hoping to keep it on for the road and not having to swap back over, maybe needs some tweaking? but looking to change front springs too.
Was a good ride out however albeit a quick one in time and speed, cheers Ginge see you next week for some Scotland road tripidge.
