So here as wanted more details to my SD. Long list of mods. I´m also active at ktmforum.eu.

List of mods:

- RC8R front fender
- fork ends painted black
- brake rotor painted black
- a few pieces hard anodised black
- Duke 4 front with " trimmed " side
- indicators Pen-Head
- handlebar ends replaced by lightweight aluminium handlebar ends
- orange powder-coated frame
- side panels matt black
- engine : Highscore Stage 1.5 (Kastl, RC8 stacks , Lamba-elim., SLS completely gone , completely gone 2.DK)
- bellypan + battery box removed , replaced with holder for ignition + horn, selfmade bellypan
- subframe DIY ( original rear frame freed from the lower struts , then built new. Needed total 3 subframes and 4 times design / welding trials were necessary until I was reasonably happy with it. Respect to the people who can weld aluminium perfect!)
- selfmade holder for the Akras to match the new tubes of the subframe
- Headway LiFePo (4 cells) in the rear, larger aluminium lower hull to make room. The original plastic part I cut off at the beginning of the aluminium.
- modified seat
- selfmade license plate holder with the R logo

Been made the years before :
- “China” levers
- Akra race cans, shortened 4 cm
- footrests, engine mount black powder-coated
- WP steering damper

Weights ( fully fueled and including KTM tool kit - > 2kg ) :

Approximately 98 kg front axle , rear axle approx 92kg (previously 100kg front, 87 rear, but with only 10 liters of fuel )

Total 190 kg fully , according to about 175 kg without fuel & tool (about 3-4 kg less than before the conversion)

Last fall I just wanted to upholster the seat a little bit... degenerated a little...

Now really looks like the badass brother of the new Duke R, very neat and I especially like the 'straight out of the factory' look
beni911

beni911

Yeah, that´s right. I´m a fan of the "out of the box" look

Are these brake/clutch levers good quality? Or excellent, 101% reliable build same as CRG/ASV etc ? If last one, where did you bought them - could you give me a link?
beni911

beni911

The levers are very good quality, got the second set of it. I can recommend them.

We had a long discussion about the levers in the ktmforum.eu also, many People use them and everybody is very satisfied.

I got my pair from ebay:

I always tighten the screws a Little bit to minimize lash.

That is a masterpiece
Like the bellypan very much, you should make more of them and sell them
Where did you get the decals for the tankspoilers?
nice work

Thanks

Bellypan can be reproduced (all parts are designed on 3D CAD, lasercutted & bent), made of 1.5 mm Aluminium sheet metal, powdercoated, riveted & bonded. The holders are V2A.
If somebody really want´s one, PM me (haven´t got a price yet).

Decals are all self-made (copying the 1290 Prototype).

Great job it looks amazing! Did you design the graphics or can these be purchased? Thank you. Marc

All done by myself (thanks to AutoCAD and CorelDRAW ), then got them cut by a local decal shop.
